I understand you are trying to combat the media’s harmful perpetuation of a single version of female beauty, (skinny, white etc.) But this is really not the way to go about it. It’s not the women and girls who are fake, it’s the media’s claims that there is only one way a woman should look. That is what is false. All women are real, even the ones who fit the media’s version of beauty. Anyone who says otherwise is falling into the patriarchal structures that pit women against each other. Skinny white supermodels are real, fat women are real, women of color are real, trans women are real. Anyone who identifies as a woman is a real woman. Unless someone has actually invented replicants and no one’s told me.”
